Caleb William Gooding was born on Sunday, June 14, at 8:29pm. He was a healthy 9 pounds and 3 ounces, and 20 inches long. This family picture was taken just a few hours after he was born. He came into the world like a whirlwind! You can see his face looks a little purple, that's from bruising caused by such a fast delivery. But it is already almost gone, and both Caleb and I are doing great! Wesley is such a sweet big brother, smothering him with kisses and gentle pats. And David takes care of all of us. He is the one who got us to the hospital on time, and managed to stay calm, and somehow help me from the car to the hospital bed. Caleb was born nine short minutes after we got to the hospital. We are so thankful that we did not get pulled over for speeding (I won't even tell you how fast David was driving, and he never speeds). And we are so thankful for a safe delivery and healthy baby boy!

We're so happy for you and can't wait to meet Caleb. Jack is particularly excited. He has a list of toys he wants to show Caleb.
And when I told you to stay home as long as you could, I didn't mean quite that long!!

Congratulations, guys! Emily, I want to hear more about you almost not making it to the hospital in time! I'm so glad everyone is safe and you had a really quick delivery...that's the best kind.
